In Lalitpur District ,We hear Dhime Baja in different ways. For example in carious places with in lalitpur City like gabahal, chyasal , jawalakhel and khokana jatras., the rhythm and style of Dhime is differ. In same way, in different newar community like Khokana had 9 Nine toles, in nine toles their are different types Dapha Khal( Dapha Guthi). In Every Dapha Khal had their own rhythm and style of tune. Also different in Dhime dance stepts.

Earlier, the Dhime Baja was Primarily used during various festivals and rituals to worship deities. It was brought out only after following specific traditional procedures and sacred practices. However, nowadays it is taken in much more casual way. It is played during or kind of event or celebration. for example, In any program When ministers from political parties attend events for welcoming them. when chair person or party leader win elections, or during any kind of program or competition take fist place. the Dhime Baja used very frequently. It has started being played on many such occasions in an excessive and casual manner.
